I don’t know what the point of a book is, if you do not take it out of its plastic wrapper and read it.

Places with ornamental books that cannot be read on their shelves make me sad. Books are for reading. Why else would we spend all that time making them, proofreading them, fixing them, writing introductions and so forth?

A book that nobody reads is like a play being performed in an empty theatre.
